One of my most vivid childhood memories is of the indelible scent of M.A.C lipsticks. If you grew up in the ’90s, you definitely know what I’m talking about. Yes, I would regularly sneak over to my mom’s vanity to steal a whiff of the subtle vanilla fragrance, and yes, I’ve ruined many an intact bullet by doing so (turns out you can break a lipstick if you twist it all the way up and proceed to smear it over your lips—sorry, Ma).
It’s safe to assume that at some point in our lives we will encounter a product formulated with an irresistible bouquet. These are the lipsticks, creams, and powders you find yourself reaching for again and again, solely because of how they smell. Whenever I see a M.A.C lipstick, I’m filled with an irrepressible urge to breathe in the familiar scent (as a matter of fact, I’m doing it right now). In light of this fond memory, here are 11 beauty products that smell amazing AF.
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick
We Canadians have a lot to be proud of ATM: Trudeau, Drake, The Real Jerk serving as the backdrop of a RiRi video. Oh, and we also have Bite Beauty. In addition to Bite being a) made in Toronto, b) produced using food-grade ingredients, the lipsticks impart and absolutely glorious scent, thanks to grapefruit, lemon and mandarin extracts.

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer
Along with its funky, Coachella-ready packaging, this bronzer smells like coconut. If only every bronzer could smell like this by default.

Rodin Luxury Lipstick
Rodin’s debut lipsticks are everything we wanted and more. The pigmented formula is steeped with neroli and jasmine oils, so basically it’s heaven on earth. Seriously. Bless, Linda Rodin.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Collection
Known for its bronzers that smell of chocolate, leave it to Too Faced to conjure up eyeshadows featuring the gourmand note. The palette smells like a freaking Kit Kat! This social-media-endorsed fave has also spawned two offshoot palettes, in peanut butter and jelly, and, most recently, peach.

Benefit Dew The Hoola Soft Matte Liquid Bronzer
OK, so we can’t pinpoint what this scent is exactly, but we do know that it smells incredible. We’d like to bathe in it forever.

If Byredo and Rodin had a child, Herbivore would be it. Also, rose and coconut-scented lip balm? Yes, please!

Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils
Yves Saint Laurent lip products are known to have a great scent to them, but have you ever caught a whiff of its mascara? Seriously, if you haven’t done so, now is the time.

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder
If you’re in pursuit of smelling fancy as hell, then this one’s for you. Guerlain’s bronzers are famous for yielding a slightly-powdery-without-being-too-granny kind of note.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream
And, if you adore the smell (and taste) of cake, then you’ll definitely love these creamy lipsticks by NYX.
