2015 horoscopes: From fashion to relationships, see what’s in store for you this year

Many of us in the Northern hemisphere are either already buried in snow or are just around the corner from it. I find it interesting that while Sagittarius has a reputation for being light-hearted and playful, it is the sign that leads us straight into the winter solstice, also known as the darkest day of the year if you’re on this half of the planet. However, the human spirit has the capacity to find hope even in the very darkest of times. It can, in fact, be the challenges themselves that fuel our inspiration and desire for love.

2015

A global phenomenon has been occurring since 2010 that has begun to expose the secrecy and power dynamics behind the larger systems of our world, and the unfair distribution of resources. What may look like chaos erupting everywhere is actually just the powerful wave of transformation that is starting to offer new ways of relating to each other and the earth. We’re at ground zero of this process right now, so this year is all about finding your voice as an individual and using your voice to bring change in your community.

Choose the world you want to live in, then build it yourself. Use this powerful force mid-March to your benefit so you don’t fall into a power struggle or get lost in despair. From July 25th to early September, we will all make the journey to the underworld—whatever that means for you. Listen to your darker side, the uncomfortable aspects of yourself that are often silenced. There is wisdom in these aspects of yourself.

January

The full moon on the 4th is a good time to take notice of how well you listen to your own needs and the needs of others. Be sure there is a balance between the two. And the new moon on the 20th is a chance for you to reset your ideals and understanding; remember that an ideal is not meant to hold to you accountable to perfection, it is an ever-changing horizon.

Mercury will go retrograde on the 21st, where the planet won’t actually actually move backwards, but will appear to do so from the perspective of planet earth. This is a time to slow down and have patience with communication that feels difficult or confusing, things breaking, and travel plans getting derailed. Clean your whole house or take up a writing practice to follow the flow of Mercury’s inward energy. Wait until February 11th when it goes direct again to make important decisions, or implement big changes.
