Ruffles and shoulders—that’s pretty much all you need to kill this look. The Latin vibe is full of both those things, and it was all over the runways this season. The Latin vibe is flirty and feminine, with off-the-shoulder tops, full sleeves, major ruffles and slits galore. Colourful stripes, hoop earrings and chunky sandals help turn up the Southern heat.
We’ve turned to a few of our style panelists to see how they would wear the Cubana trend with their current wardrobe.

Any time I wear something bold and attention grabbing (like these fabulous striped flares) I like to pair it with simple, timeless pieces to balance things out. In this case, I opted for a loose silky tank, a structured blazer, neutral platforms and a classic black clutch. I chose a statement necklace to anchor the top of the outfit, which also picks up the subtle gold hardware on the clutch. A bright red lip always adds the perfect bit of colour to finish a feisty look.

I chose a dark brown turtleneck and laced-up heeled booties to highlight this Clover Canyon printed dress. The dress already has the effect to elongate the body figure, so I added a turtleneck to enhance it.

With its handkerchief hemline and vibrant coloring, this Ralph Lauren dress just begs to be taken on a warm vacation down south. Its bold allover pattern beautifully evokes the Latin trend that is so perfectly suited for Spring/Summer. By switching out sandals for a nude heel, this dress transitions seamlessly from day to night making it truly the perfect vacation dress.

Colorful stripes can be easily integrated into an outfit, especially for spring. A striped patterned blazer is the perfect piece to pair with anything from jeans and flats on the weekend to pants and heels on the weekday. Work to play, a patterned blazer is a great investment for your spring closet.

Transitioning from winter to spring can be tricky, especially when the weather isn’t aligning. Florals are going to be huge this spring and I couldn’t wait to style this vibrant floral skirt. I decided to pair it with an oversized neutral sweater to keep me warm but still fitting with spring trends. Of course, a hat always creates a deeper look.
