8 Wine Delivery Services in Toronto For Your Next Happy Hour
Yes it’s Monday but it’s also National Wine Day, so chase away the Monday blues and celebrate the holiday by placing an order for wine delivery from a small business in Toronto today. From wine bars to breweries to independent restaurants, there are plenty of options to choose from (with many delivering across Ontario or even nationwide).
Grape Crush
This wine and beer store offers a selection of natural and biodynamic wines for pickup and delivery. To help you find your next “grape crush,” the site offers suggestions based on your tastes and preferences: organic, funky, natural/low intervention, low sulphites and more. Orders can be picked up in person at SoSo Food Club at 1166 Dundas West between 4 and 6pm from Wednesday to Saturday, and deliveries are made on Fridays between 1 and 8pm.
Boxcar Social
Boxcar Social, the coffee and wine bar with multiple locations in Toronto, has launched a bottle shop at its Summerhill and Riverside outposts, along with online delivery options. Working with local wine agents, craft breweries and wineries, Boxcar is trying to help out small businesses along the supply chain. Pickup hours vary per location, with same day delivery Tuesday through Sunday. The offerings range from red and white to rosé, sparkling and orange/amber, with all wines priced no more than ten dollars above wholesale cost.
Burdock Brewery
This craft brewery in Toronto’s Bloordale Village has also opened a bottle shop offering same-day delivery on orders placed before 11am, and next-day delivery for all other orders in Toronto. Aside from wine and their own in-house beer, Burdock is also selling sourdough loaves from Blackbird Baking Co, Propeller coffee, and oysters by the dozen.
Grape Witches
Run by two female sommeliers, this wine club focusing on natural wines is currently offering “Super Fresh packs,” a curated pairing of low-intervention wine and snacks from local Toronto shops and makers. A portion from the sale of each pack goes to local charities. They also offer a wine subscription service, with six carefully selected bottles in each box.
Bottega Volo
Birreria Volo, a cozy beer hall on College Street, is now a beer, wine and food shop with pickup and delivery options. Choose from sparkling, white, rosé, red and orange varieties, or go for one of their Cantina Crates, a series of mystery boxes (a total of six bottles in each) curated by the owners of Volo. They also offer a wide selection of food, including cheese, cured meats, dry pasta and more.
Paradise Theatre
Toronto’s recently renovated Paradise Theatre, a historical landmark since 1937, is now offering not just hearty Italians meals from its onsite Osteria Rialto restaurant, but also popcorn, candy and other movie theatre concessions, as well as a selection of wines, spirits and cider from their bottle shop for both pickup and delivery.
Eataly Toronto
Eataly has made its vast selection of regional Italian wines available for pickup and for delivery through UberEats, Skip The Dishes and Door Dash from 12 to 9pm daily. In addition, customers can order from Eataly’s pizza and pasta restaurants, and also purchase pantry staples like pasta, tomato sauce and balsamic vinegar, as well as fresh meats, cheeses and fish from their grocery store.
Stackt Market
This shipping container market has teamed up with local businesses to deliver a safe and convenient outdoor market, selling fresh produce and meat from Ontario farmers, pre-cooked meals created by an award-winning chef, simple household items and take-out meals. In addition, there’s a bottle shop selling cocktail kits, beer and wine. Find both pickup and delivery options here.
