A day at the spa from just $30? Toronto’s annual Beautylicious event makes it possible
While we hardly require a reason to spend an afternoon relaxing at the spa, Toronto’s Beautylicious makes it easier than ever to justify. The annual spa event is in its fifth year right now, so drop whatever you’re doing and book an appointment (or two… or three…). Think of it as a prix fixe for aesthetics: more than 50 salons and spas in Yorkville take part, offering premium treatments at a range of fixed prices. We’re taking expert manicures for $30, professional dye jobs for $50 and hour-long facials totalling just $75—yep, it’s that good.
You can browse the complete list of Beautylicious offerings here, but considering just how many are available, allow us to suggest some standout options. For just $30, take your brows from blah to bravo with a wax at the Holts Salon & Spa. Or if problem skin is a concern, the $75 OXYAcne facial at OxyBeauty is a must. Not only will your skin feel impossibly smooth the moment you leave, you’ll stay pimple free for 10 days afterwards. Seriously. At the Tony Char Salon, $125 will get you a Kérastase treatment and a cut with Tony himself.
But to really take advantage of Beautylicious, look for treatments at full-service spas. For instance, the $50 manicure offering at Stillwater Spa is a welcome excuse to spend some additional time soaking in their many pools and steam rooms. Ready to start booking? Get to it: Beautylicious only runs until November 3, 2013!
