A Goody-licious Event
By Sarah Hankins
The Goody showroom event on March 6 had expert stylists demonstrating the latest trends in hair products and accessories. Here are my must-have items to keep tresses looking their best this spring:
”
1. I love Goody’s Styling Therapy Reduce + Dandruff paddle brush ($16), which is infused with copper ($16), and reduces dandruff-causing bacteria (believe me, your scalp will love this!). As you brush, concentrating on your scalp, the copper-plated bristles work their magic by coating your locks with a layer of an anti-bacterial protector.
2. Dryness aside, my hair lacks lustre in the winter. After using the Styling Therapy Add + Shine Jojoba Oil Infused Brush ($16), I was amazed to see how shiny my hair was. This brush earns a spot on my list because every model who walked the Spring 2008 runways for Proenza Schouler, Dolce & Gabbana and Stella McCartney had silky, glossy locks.
3. If you’re a hair-straightening girl like me, you’ll appreciate my third pick: the So Hot Flat Iron Comb ($7, all at drugstores). While you straighten your hair, the comb guides the flat iron over neatly divided sections so that your hair doesn’t get damaged or break off during the process. The comb also ensures there won’t be any bumpy bits. Your hair will be perfectly pin-straight when you finish.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, my hair and I are spending the weekend locked in the bathroom in front of the mirror.
