Afternoon beauty fix: A dry concealer won’t help those dark circles
How can I cover dark circles beneath my eyes without the concealer settling into the creases of my skin?
Aside from keeping your skin well moisturized and protected from the sun, one of the best things you can do is use a concealer with a watery texture, opposed to one that’s cakey and thick. An aqueous composition will help pigments blend right into your skin instead of sitting firmly on top. The ingredients list for Dior Diorskin Nude Concealer ($30 at Sephora) boasts nearly 50 per cent mineralized water, so it’s extremely lightweight in texture but holds plenty of pigment. YSL’s Touche Éclat ($40 at Sephora) has practically reached celebrity status thanks to its ability to brighten and conceal the evidence of a sleepless night, and Laura Mercier’s Secret Concealer ($22 at Holt Renfrew) has a buttery texture and a slight pink pigment to neutralize any deep-blue crescents beneath your eyes.
