Afternoon beauty fix: Quick tips for getting the perfect wingtip

I could spend my whole life trying to draw a wingtip line and never get it right. Is there a liner out there that will make it easier?
Drawing a clean, precise line requires practice, a steady hand, and the right eyeliner consistency. We prefer a liquid liner with a felt-tip wand because it slides easily over the lid and distributes the ideal amount of pigment. Starting at the centre of your lid, press the tip directly on top of your lashes and draw a single line that extends beyond the outer corner of your eye. Use tiny strokes to fill in any gaps between individual lashes. Worry less about having a straight line, and more about ensuring that no spaces are left uncoloured. The ’60s-style flick is created by filling the tiny gap between your lower and upper lashes with a second line, and then connecting it to the first. Black liner is classic, but we’re loving the greasy metallic lustre of Pure Color Liquid EyeLiner in by Estée Lauder ($25, limited edition at Holt Renfrew and select Bay stores across Canada) because it marries two of our favourite fall trends: metallic eyes and graphic liner.
