All the June Beauty Launches We’re Obsessed With
With wintry weather well behind us and the world feeling like it has finally reopened, hitting the beach, soaking in some well-deserved sunshine and planning an epic trip are all front of mind. And with the change of seasons comes the urge to revamp our beauty shelf. Whether you’re looking for an addition to your low-maintenance makeup routine, an easy way to self-tan or the perfect fragrance for Pride and beyond, these June 2022 beauty launches have you covered.
Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male and Classique Pride Limited Edition Eau de Toilettes
Jean Paul Gaultier’s makeover of the hallmark fragrances Classique and Le Male is one Pride-themed release we can’t get enough of. Still providing an orange blossom scent with notes of citrus tinged with basil, the gender-neutral fragrance now comes in one of two signature bottles that form a “happy couple” supporting the colours of Pride. To make them even more unique, the chrome bodies, which are each outfitted in an iconic Jean Paul Gaultier marinière (sailor) stripe, feature a new slogan emblazoned on the heart: “Liberté, Egalité, Sexualité.”
Dior Purifying Nymphea-Infused Eye & Lip Makeup Remover
One of the best pieces of beauty advice you could ever receive is this: Don’t go to bed with makeup on. Removing makeup at the end of the day isn’t just about cleansing the skin, it’s about taking care of your sensitive eye area, brows, eyelashes and lips, too. Dior’s new Le Démaquillant Yeux et Lèvres is an exceptionally gentle, bi-phase eye and lip makeup remover made with 98 per cent naturally-derived ingredients. Infused with water lily extract sourced from Dior’s very own Latour-Marliac garden in France, along with cornflower water and jojoba oil, the formula works to capture tough pigments as well as impurities from pollution, while leaving both lips and lashes more nourished.
Kora Organics Turmeric Glow Foaming Cleanser
Once you’ve swept away stubborn makeup from your eyes and lips, it’s time to reach for a pampering, all-over face cleanser to truly help you get a perfectly bare face. (Only after you remove all of the dirt, makeup and excess oil residing on your face, can your skin really reap the benefits of whichever skincare follows next). Kora Organics’ Turmeric Glow Foaming Cleanser is powered by an invigorating cocktail of turmeric, antioxidant-rich noni fruit extract as well as hydrating aloe vera juice to deeply cleanse the skin without causing any dryness or irritation.
Dermalogica Daily Milkfoliant
Exfoliating at least once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells is key to having a clear complexion. But many people worry that regular sloughing can lead to unwanted irritation — such as redness, dryness or inflammation — especially if they have sensitive skin. Dermalogica’s Daily Milkfoliant is a gentle option. The powdered physical exfoliant, which is activated with a few drops of water, is packed with nourishing oat, coconut and botanical extracts to calm the skin, while alpha-hydroxy and beta-hydroxy acids remove unwanted buildup.
NUDA Hyaluronic Acid Self-Tanning Serum
Sun-kissed skin season is here and Canadian beauty brand NUDA has the perfect solution to acing a (safe) summer glow. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, raspberry seed oil and coconut oil, this self-tanning facial serum is made to moisturize your skin while gradually giving your complexion the look of a tan. For the most natural glow, simply massage three to five drops in a circular motion onto a cleansed face, neck and décolletage daily. Additional drops can be applied for a more intense colour payoff.
Dew of the Gods Frozé The Royal Face Wash
Joining Dew of the Gods’ popular Frozé Body Scrub, this new creamy facial cleanser is formulated with ultra-luxe squalene, soothing blueberry extract and coconut enzyme. Plus, it smells just like the summertime cocktail it’s named after. Sign us up!
Fenty Beauty Poutsicle Hydrating Lip Stain
This Fenty lip stain is here to help you keep a low-maintenance look this summer, all the while giving your lips juicy, long lasting-hydration. Available in four vibrant shades, the feather-and-bleed-resistant formula delivers sheer-to-medium coverage with a lightweight wear and a glossy finish. And don’t just take our word for it. When talking about the newest addition to her lineup, Rihanna said, “This product just hits different. You get that sexy, wet-look shine and your lips feel super hydrated.”
Haus Labs by Lady Gaga
Everyone’s favourite pop queen Lady Gaga has relaunched her cruelty-free and vegan brand Haus Labs by Lady Gaga. With seven new innovations, the clean and colourful makeup assortment includes gel-powder bronzers, radiant highlighters, hydrating lip oils, vibrant lip crayons, gel pencil eyeliners and more. We’re personally loving the multi-tasking Hy-Power Pigment Paints, which are infused with hydrating plant-based squalane and hyaluronic acid and can be used on eyes, lips, cheeks and the body.
Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner
If you’re looking to brighten your complexion and refine the look of pores this season, Charlotte Tilbury’s Glow Toner is definitely worth a try. Suitable for even sensitive skin, this daily solution is acid-free and formulated with niacinamide, super peptide royalepigen p5, and the extracts of red clover flower and prickly pear cactus flower — a moisture-packed cocktail that leaves skin super hydrated and feeling and looking smoother with regular use.

We love a good Canadian indie perfume brand story. Known for her striking creative work, editorials and events, Toronto-based floral designer and artist Leña Monsalud Francisco has added perfume nose to her flower-filled CV by launching her very own signature fragrance this month. Featured notes include mandarin, apple, pink pepper, bitter almond cream, green stems, amber and white cedar.
