Monday September 29th, 2014 marked the officiality of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s nuptials as the couple sealed the deal in a civil ceremony late afternoon in Venice, Italy. If you’re like us, you’re probably in a state of awe over the bride’s insane selection of wedding. Alamuddin, who comes from a Lebanese background and has a seriously impressive resume (she’s a barrister for international and human rights law who most notably defended Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in 2012), showed us that she knows how to rock the whole wedding weekend attire look, further confirming her status as fashion’s new It girl.
Case in point, the day before the ceremony, Alamuddin made an appearance with her husband-to-be in a striped nautical-inspired Dolce & Gabbana midi dress (that sold out everywhere almost instantaneously), while for the pre-wedding dinner she showed up in a red Alexander McQueen dress that featured a high-lo hem to show off her never-ending legs. After the ceremony, as if that wasn’t enough, the now Mrs. Clooney made our hearts stop as stepped out in a breath-taking off-white lace Giabattista Valli dress that featured delicate pink and orange embroidery. The next day Alamaddin attended a civil ceremony to legalize the union with her hubby where she opted for a more conservative look in a monochromatic pantsuit in cream with a matching wide-brimmed hat. Although we haven’t had a chance to see the rumoured Oscar de la Renta wedding dress she wore to the actual ceremony, we know it will get our hearts beating as the exclusive photos (made available only to Vogue) are released later today.
