Angelina Jolie Eats Bugs and Speaks Out About Divorce from Brad Pitt
Break-ups are hard, and sharing six children and A-list celeb status likely doesn’t help.
For the first time since their separation five months ago, Angelina Jolie has opened up about her public split from Brad Pitt, saying that that “it was a very difficult time” for her high-profile family.
In an exclusive interview with BBC World News, Jolie discusses her new film First They Killed My Father, an adaptation of the Cambodian Genocide memoir by Loung Ung. After naming Cambodia as her “awakening” and speaking to her gratitude for the country, Jolie is confronted with a question about her recent divorce.
“I don’t want to say very much about that,” Jolie responds, visibly emotional. “We are a family and we will always be a family, and we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it.”
If their appetites are any indication, Jolie and her brood of kids seem to be stronger than ever. Additional BBC footage shows the 41-year-old actress and director tearing fangs from tarantulas, before stir-frying them and serving them to her children.
