Aritzia Launches its First Ever Menswear Product
Fashion girl favourite brand Aritzia has been dropping new versions of its iconic Super Puff jacket over the last month in fresh colourways and finishes. However, today’s drop is undoubtedly the biggest surprise from the Canadian retailer yet.
Today the brand unveiled its first ever men’s product in the form of the Super Puff for men – also known as Mr. Super Puff.
The jacket (which retails for CAD$250) is available in one length, 10 colours (including army green, black, red, purple and yellow) and in two different finishes (matte and high gloss). It comes in sizes small to XXL and the brand notes on the website that the fit is larger than that of its original Super Puff with wider shoulders and longer arms.
The piece has been designed to deliver warmth down to -30 degrees celsius using responsibly sourced goose down. Much like its female counterpart, Mr. Super Puff is made from a wind resistant and water repellent fabric that allows for unobstructed movement.
Mr. Super Puff is the first men’s product in Aritzia’s 35-year history.
The news follows that of fellow Canadian brand Sentaler announcing that it will expand its outerwear offering from Fall 2020 to include men’s styles.
Aritzia’s celebrity fans include the likes of Hailey Bieber, Emily Ratajkowski, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Karlie Kloss so we suspect we might get a few cute his and hers moments this winter, particularly from the Biebers.
The brand (which recently announced profits of $17.9 million in the 2020 fiscal year) also made headlines earlier this week as the Duchess of Sussex re-wore its Maxwell dress for a second time to attend the One Young World summit’s opening ceremony in London. Taking to Instagram to celebrate, the brand confirmed a new line of the style is on its way.
