Attention cool girls everywhere: Proenza Schouler is releasing its first fragrance
This morning, Proenza Schouler designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez announced that they’re expanding their brand into the world of fragrances, to the joy of cool girls all around the world.
The 13-year old label has signed a license agreement with L’Oreal to create a fragrance, though details are limited at this time. “Proenza Schouler is one of the most inspiring brands in the fashion arena, redefining what it means to be a modern woman today,” says Nathalie Durán, International General Manager of L’Oreal designer brands fragrances. “They are the voice of a generation. The brand’s commitment to innovation, detail, beauty and craft mirror the very core values of L’Oreal’s luxury designer brands fragrances,” she adds.
With L’Oreal producing fragrances for other best-selling, high-end fashion labels including Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent and Viktor & Rolf, we can’t wait to see what this match made in heaven has in store. It seems the feeling’s mutual, with McCollough and Hernandez admitting that creating a fragrance has been a longtime dream of theirs. “We look forward to translating our visual aesthetic into the subtle and highly emotional world of scent,” they comment.
Unfortunately, we don’t know when the duo’s first fragrance will be available, but this is one we’ll be lining up for.
