The Bachelor couple announced the end of their engagement more than five months after viewers watched their proposal on The Bachelor finale.

“It’s with a great amount of heartbreak for the both us as we have decided to end our engagement,” they told E! News in a statement. “We gave this relationship our all and we are saddened that we did not get the fairytale ending we hoped for. We will continue to be there for each other no matter what. This hasn’t been an easy decision, however, as we part ways, we do so with lots of love and admiration for each other.”

Bachelorette Canada Season 1: Jasmine Lorimer and Kevin Wendt — Split

Five months after the first-ever Bachelorette Canada finale, Jasmine Lorimer and Kevin Wendt announced their breakup over social media.

“There’s no denying that Kevin and I have experienced our share of ups and downs,” the post read. “Our journey together has been a challenging one, but in spite of the hardships, our bond grew stronger and our support for one another did as well. Even so, our differences and the physical distance have taken a toll on us and a couple of months ago, we decided to end our relationship and take some time to work on ourselves individually.”

Bachelor in Paradise Season 3: Carly Wad and Evan Bass — Still Together

This BiP couple is still happily engaged, with Carly acting as stepmom to Evan’s children from a previous marriage.

Bachelor in Paradise Season 3: Amanda Stanton and Josh Murray — Split

Despite Josh seemingly blending in nicely into Amanda’s family of two daughters, the couple announced their split in January 2017.

“There was a lot of different reasons [we called off our engagement],” Stanton told People. “At the end of the day, we were just two very different people. I think there are some things when you love someone you can work on and try to fix things, and then there are some things you just can’t fix. I think it got to that point where we just knew it wasn’t going to work.”

Bachelor in Paradise Season 3: Lace Morris and Grant Kemp — Split

The BiP couple announced their split in November 2016, despite getting matching “Grace” tattoos in Paradise.

Bachelorette Season 12: Jojo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers — Still Together

Jojo and Jordan are still going strong, with the two residing in Fletcher’s Dallas home.

Bachelor Season 20: Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell —

Ben and Lauren announced their split May 2017, telling People in a joint statement, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce our decision to go our separate ways. We feel fortunate for the time we had together, and will remain friends with much love and respect for one another. We wish nothing but the best for each other, and ask for your support and understanding at this time.”

Bachelor in Paradise Season 2: Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper — Still Together

Tanner and Jade seem to be one of the few Bachelor nation couples who may actually stay together. The pair got married in a televised Bachelor wedding in 2016 and are expecting their first child in September 2017.

Bachelorette Season 11: Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth — Still Together

While the pair has not set their wedding date yet, they are “pumped” to start a family together.

Bachelor Season 19: Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff — Split

Seven months after Soules proposed to Whitney, the couple announced their split. Bischoff is now engaged to a man named Ricky Angel while Soules is maintaining a low profile, following his arrest after a deadly hit and run car crash.

Bachelor Canada Season 2: Tim Warmels and April Brockman — Split

Three months after getting engaged, Tim and April announced their split with the following statement posted on his website: “We’ve come to realize that we are better suited as great friends and we will always remain so.”

Bachelorette Season 10: Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray — Split

This Bachelorette couple faced an ugly breakup with Dorfman accusing Murray of being emotionally abusive and calling her a “whore” to Us Weekly. Andi also published a tell-all book about her tumultuous engagement with Josh called It’s Not Okay.

Bachelor in Paradise Season 1: Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd — Split

Things also got ugly with this couple—though the pair seemingly got married in Mexico in August 2015, it turns out their marriage wasn’t legal. Grodd later confirmed their split in July 2016, telling People his engagement to Lacy “became a toxic relationship at times,” adding his ex-fiancée “became a different person.”

Bachelor in Paradise Season 1: Cody Sattler and Michelle Money — Split

After BiP, Cody and Michelle split in 2014, before rekindling their relationship and attempting to work things out on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars in 2016. Soon after they split for good, and Money is currently dating golfer Mike Weir.

Bachelor Canada Season 1: Brad Smith and Bianka Kamber — Split

Canada’s first ever Bachelor, Brad Smith, proposed to Bianka Kamber (a.k.a. the girl who dated Kris Humphries before he was married to Kim Kardashian for 73 days) in November 2012, but the pair later announced their split in March 2014. Smith is now the host of Chopped Canada.

Bachelor Season 18: Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell — Split

After Juan Pablo professing his love for Nikki but refusing to propose to her during the Bachelor finale, the couple attempted to work on their relationship on season five of Couples Therapy. Things, however, did not work out and the couple split October 2014. Nikki is now happily married to Tyler Vanloo.

Bachelorette Season 9: Desiree Harsock and Chris Siegfried — Still Together

Desiree and Chris are happily married with a son, Asher.

Bachelor Season 17: Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici — Still Together

Also still going strong? Season 17’s Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici. The pair tied the knot on television in 2014 and welcomed their son, Samuel Thomas, in July 2016.

Following Ben’s proposal on the show, this Bachelor couple took some time apart, but they were back together in time for the airing of After the Final Rose. The pair broke up for good in October 2012, and Robertson later released a tell-all book called I Didn’t Come Here to Make Friends in 2014.

Bachelorette Season 8: Emily Maynard and Jef Holm — Split

This engagement was short lived, with the couple splitting after a mere two months. Emily is now married to Tyler Johnson, with whom she has two children.

Before becoming the Bachelorette, Emily Maynard was the winner of Bachelor season 15. (This was Brad’s second round as Bachelor; he was the star of season 11 but failed to pick anyone in the end.) Brad and Emily announced their split in June 2011.

Bachelorette Season 7: Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum — Still Together

Ashley and J.P. got married on television in December 2012 and currently have two children. However, things may not be as picture-perfect as they seem: the couple recently appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, where J.P. admitted to doubting the future with his wife.

Bachelorette Season 6: Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez — Split

This Bachelorette couple split in November 2011. Ali went on to marry radio host Kevin Manno in a beachside wedding. The pair also have a child together.

Though Jake proposed to Vienna during the Bachelor season 14 finale, the pair split just a few months after.

Bachelorette Season 5: Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski — Split

The first Canadian Bachelorette, Jillian Harris, may have split in 2010 amidst some cheating rumours, but she later went on to get engaged to longtime boyfriend (and father of her child) Justin Pasutto.

Bachelor Season 13: Jason Mesnick and Melissa Rycroft — Split

This engagement was really short-lived and ended quite dramatically. After choosing Rycroft, Mesnick
reversed his decision on After the Final Rose, breaking up with his fiancée and proposing to runner-up Molly Malaney. Jason and Molly tied the knot in 2010 and have a child together, while Melissa got married to Tye Strickland in 2009, with whom she has three children.

Bachelor Season 12: Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas — Split

Just three months after getting engaged on Bachelor: London Calling, the pair announced their split in a joint statement.

Bachelorette Season 4: DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak — Split

The couple split in 2009, with Pappas going on to marry Stephen Stagliano—the twin brother of Michael Stagliano, who appeared on Jillian Harris’s season of The Bachelorette. She now has two children with Stephen.

As for Jesse? He married Bachelor alum Ann Lueders, and they currently have three children together.

Bachelor Season 10: Andy Baldwin and Tessa Horst — Split

A month after Andy’s proposal, he and Tessa decided to end their engagement. Their relationship continued, however, only to end in less than a year.

Bachelor Season 9: Prince Lorenzo Borghese and Jennifer Wilson — Split

This season of The Bachelor ended in the offering of a promise ring as opposed to a proposal. The relationship didn’t last though, with the couple splitting one month later.

Bachelor Season 8: Travis Lane Stork and Sarah Stone — Split

This relationship was really short-lived. Stork didn’t propose, and the couple announced their split once the season finished airing.

Bachelor Season 7: Charlie O’Connell and Sarah Brice — Split

Though the season did not end in a proposal, Charlie and Sarah pursued a relationship for two years. Ultimately, it didn’t last.

Bachelorette Season 2: Meredith Phillips and Ian McKee — Split

Following the proposal on the Bachelorette season two finale, the pair split a year later.

Bachelor Season 6: Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado — Split

Byron and Mary were engaged for five years before splitting in December 2009. Trouble in paradise seemed to be brewing earlier, however, with Delgado arrested in 2007 for assaulting Velvick.

Bachelor Season 5: Jesse Palmer and Jessica Bowlin — Split

The engagement between Canadian sports commentator and former college and professional football player Jesse Palmer and Jessica Bowlin didn’t last long, with the couple splitting just one month later, citing long distance as the main issue. Bowlin is now married to Omar Rawi and has two children.

Bachelorette Season 1: Trista Rehn and Ryan Stutter — Still Together

The first-ever Bachelorette probably has the most well-known success story in Bachelor Nation history. Trista and Ryan tied the knot in a televised ceremony in 2003 and are still together, raising their two children.

Bachelor Season 4: Bob Guiney and Estella Gardinier — Split

In this Bachelor finale, Bob offered Estella a promise ring, rather than an engagement ring. Five months later, they split.

Bachelor Season 3: Andrew Firestone and Jen Schefft — Split

The pair was engaged for 10 months before splitting in December 2003. Firestone later married actress/model Ivana Bozilovic in 2008 and had three children with her, while Schefft married Joe Waterman in 2009 and had two children.

Bachelor Season 2: Aaron Buerge and Helene Eksterowicz — Split

Just five months after being proposed to, Helene said she was dumped by Aaron at a local Starbucks.

Bachelor Season 1: Alex Michel and Amanda Marsh — Split

The OG Bachelor didn’t actually propose to the season’s winner, but he did suggest that he and Amanda move in together. While they did date following the finale, they ended it after several months.
