BAFTA Awards 2015: Our top 9 best dressed on the red carpet
Much of the attention may have been on the music industry’s heavy-hitters in LA last night, but earlier that day we kept tabs on Hollywood’s A-list stars who skipped over the pond for the annual BAFTA Awards (aka UK’s Academy Awards) to celebrate the best in British film and television. With their wardrobe A-game in tow (as usual), we’re sitting here wondering how these red carpet darlings are ever going to top it in two week’s time for the industry’s biggest night of the year.
Warmer weather may not officially arrive for two months, but looking at yesterday’s film awards, Spring 2015’s hottest trends are already popping up on the red carpet. Take Julianne Moore for example. Working the ‘70s look (retro hair included), the Oscar contender and last night’s Best Actress recipient donned her favourite colour as of late in a floor-length gown that featured a plunging neckline and neck scarf by Tom Ford. Meanwhile, both Dianna Agron and Amy Adams worked the waist-defining detail in custom Lanvin attire, a strapless red dress for Agron and a white column gown for Adams.
Other noteworthy looks included Reese Witherspoon looking regal as ever in Stella McCartney, as well as an appearance of the newest Bond girls, Léa Seydoux and Monica Bellucci. But truly deserving the crown for BAFTA’s best dressed was none other than Keira Knightley. Continuously hitting maternity red carpet outfits out of the ballpark, this time in Giambattista Valli, the English rose nailed maternity chic once again.
