Beyoncé and Jay-Z are Going Back on Tour — But They Aren’t Stopping in Toronto

On July 9, 2014, Beyoncé and Jay-Z stepped out on the Rogers Centre stage for the sixth stop of their “On The Run Tour.” Bey swayed back and forth with an American flag while Jay sang “Forever Young.” I stood atop my seat, lighter in the air, uncontrollably crying — the whole thing was magical. So when I got an email from the Official Beyhive at 10:27 this morning titled “OTR II Coming Summer 2018,” my heart filled with joy.

That joy was quickly taken away. How does the Carter family pay me back for my years of emotional and financial support? They announce a 36 stop world tour that doesn’t stop in my hometown. Jay-Z and Beyonce’s “On the Run II” stadium tour will kick of off Wednesday, June 6 in Cardiff, UK, with the international leg stopping in 15 cities across the UK and Europe. The couple will then head to 21 North American cities, beginning in Cleveland on July 25 and ending in Vancouver on October 2. Looking over the itinerary, you’ll quickly notice where they aren’t stopping: Toronto.

Yes, that’s right. “On the Run II” is going to Cologne, Germany (population 1 million), Arlington, Texas (population 400,000) and E. Rutherford, New Jersey (population 9,856). Toronto has nearly 3,000,000 people, but we apparently aren’t worthy of being graced by Bonnie and Clyde.

Here’s a full list of the tour dates, and the cities fortunate enough to make the cut. Start saving your money and/or selling all your belongings, because tickets go on sale March 19 — and you may need to set aside travel budget.
