Bitmoji goes high fashion: Your avatar can now wear Tanya Taylor, Alexander McQueen + more
Bitmoji, the app that turns people into their own personal emojis (you know the one), is expanding its fashion options. Up until now, the app allowed users to create an avatar that matched their appearance (down to the breast size!) but when it came to dressing your emoji, the choices were extremely limited. Enter #BitmojiFashion. Launching today, the app will now include a wide array of fashion choices including Fall 2015 runway looks from some of your fave designers.
The upgrade makes sense since many heavy-hitters from the fashion world are known Bitmoji fans, including Vogue Fashion Fund finalist Tanya Taylor. “I’m a big Bitmoji user,” Taylor says, “But right now, my avatar is wearing a blue dress and I would never want to wear a blue dress in real life.” Clearly something had to be done.
Taylor has collaborated with the app, and now has three Tanya Taylor looks available (starting today!) on the Bitmoji app. And she’s not the only one. Bergdorf Goodman has also jumped onboard, adding Michael Kors, Diane Von Furstenberg, Zac Posen, Kenzo and Rodarte to the selection. Joshua Schulman, President, Bergdorf Goodman & NMG International says, “We are big Bitmoji fans, and are thrilled to be the official retail partner in the Bitmoji Fashion revolution.” W Magazine has also added to the mix with Fall 2015 runways looks from Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs, and Calvin Klein. That means your Bitmoji self might end up being better dressed than your IRL self. Welcome to the future.
The app and all the amazing fashion choices are available for download now.
