Caroline de Maigret Takes Us Behind the Scenes on Her Exclusive New Gabrielle Chanel Video
Want to channel your inner French girl? Take your cue from Caroline de Maigret.
The 42-year-old model/muse/music producer/author is effortlessly cool, but she also brings the smoulder in Chanel’s latest Gabrielle bag campaign video. Following the release of two short films featuring Kristin Stewart and Cara Delevingne, the French luxury house has unveiled a third video by French director Olivier Assayas, starring de Maigret, one of Chanel’s ambassadors.
In the short black and white film, de Maigret is the epitome of Parisian chic. “The film is a poetic wander,” she says.
The brunette French beauty takes us behind the scenes in an exclusive “making of” video, where she explains her experience on set and the meaning of the film. “I go into a Parisian apartment and arrive at a photo shoot I had with Karl. It’s a nod from Olivier Assayas to Karl Lagerfeld. I take Chanel’s Gabrielle bag with me, which is like Gabrielle Chanel’s spirit accompanying me,” says de Maigret. “She has always inspired me. I aspire to follow in her footsteps, to possess the unbridled freedom to do what you want when you want.”
