Every week, we round up the best beauty moments of the week or address a topic that’s been on the forefront of our hearts and minds. But every once in a while, we encounter a week where everybody successfully attends the Met Gala, and/or nobody dyes their hair pink (which is equal parts fine and disappointing).
So that’s why we’re going to break from the norm this week and, rather than discuss the celebs who debuted beauty trends, we’re going to discuss the celebrities who should. Just remember that if anybody runs with any of our suggestions, we’re the ones who inspired them, and we should get all the credit.

Trend: Black hair
Beyoncé may have debuted the My Little Ponytail at the MET Gala this week, but, because our expectations are high, we’d like to see more. So imagine a world in which she takes her hair to new heights and colours, borrowing from the pages of Marc Jacobs’s Spring 2015 show, where models sported black hair, without a touch of highlight, lowlight, or glamour. Because if anyone can get away with it, it’s Beyoncé — I mean, hello: the woman coined “flawless.”

Trend: Temporary brow rings
Considering Jennifer Lawrence has cemented herself as a woman who doesn’t care what we think (#bless), there’s no better contender for Rodarte’s temporary brow ring trend. And yes, girlfriend’s been channeling her Abercrombie roots via longer, beach-blonde hair. But considering she cut her hair into a pixie cut just two years back (without any warning), J-Law is clearly a person willing to take a risk. (Which is especially useful, since temporary brow rings only have the risk of being tweeted about too much after an initial debut.)

Trend: Blunt-banged mullet
Please calm down — we promise this isn’t a Joe Dirt situation. Haider Ackermann opted for eighties-era look for Spring 2015 with bold colour and parties in the front/business in the back. The thing is, T-Swift has the edge in her: her 1989 tour costumes are fun and glam, and she pulled off slicked-back hair back in February. Stick with us, Swift. We’d never lead you astray.

Trend: Colourful eyebrows
We know this for a fact: Ariana Grande is in a civil union with her ponytail. So to avoid getting stuck in a rut (and/or separating herself from said ponytail), we suggest she borrow from the page of Badgley Mischka’s pastel eyebrows (done with M.A.C Cream Eye Shadows). First, her hair is pulled back, so we’ll always see her brows. And second, she’s a pop star. And based on everything we’ve seen pop stars do, they can get away with anything.

Trend: Face tattoos
Blake Lively has a pretty defined aesthetic: her blonde hair is powerful, and straightened, it could easily blanket 50% of the United States. So this means she’ll never cut it. (And why should she?) Though it’d be interesting to see her borrow from the Tommy Hilfiger show, where models were adorned in temporary face tattoos. It may not fit the aesthetic of Preserve, but the woman is 27 — she’s got room to try something new.

Trend: A new album, please
We would like a new album. Please give us a new album. We would like to listen to a new album. Also, be our friend.
