Chanel Métiers d’Art: See the A-list front row from last night’s show in New York
This past week, the hills New York City was alive with the sound of Karl Lagerfeld and his Chanel posse taking the Big Apple (and our Instagram feed) by storm.
Taking the most recent Métiers d’Art Salzburg show on the road, the Kaiser (and his team) transformed New York’s Park Avenue Armory into an opulent living room inspired by the Austrian rococo palace where the collection was first shown. Given the fact that the show was in New York for its first time ever, there was never a doubt that the brightest stars of Hollywood would show up (dressed in Chanel’s much-coveted pieces, of course) and perch prettily next to the who’s who of the fashion industry.
So who was on this star-studded guest list? Julianne Moore picked up her Oscars in Chanel Couture, so it was no surprise to see the Academy Award winner in her usual LBD last night. Tinseltown darlings Dakota Johnson and Lily Collins too joined the star fest, with Johnson gleaming in a silver Spring 2015 Couture dress, while Collins rocked a crop top and leather skirt combo from the Spring 2015 collection. Vanessa Paradis, who’s the face of the new Girl bag, was present (duh), but all eyes were actually on her (and Johnny Depp’s) 15-year-old daughter Lily Rose Depp who looked all grown up in a sparkly two-piece ensemble. With the youngster looking just as gorgeous as her mother, we wouldn’t be shocked if a Chanel contract were already in the works. The guests were then #blessed with a live rendition of “CC The World” courtesy of Cara Delevingne and Pharrell Williams.
From Queen Beyoncé to up-and-coming film star Nicola Peltz to front row mainstay Alexa Chung, we’re rounding up our 10 favourite celebrity looks from last night’s Chanel Metiers d’Art New York show.
