Christopher Kane Just Released a Line of Extremely Quirky Rugs
Scottish designer Christopher Kane is known for taking inspiration from a pretty oddball set of sources: he’s designed collection based on everything from The Joy of Sex to hoarders. Now, Kane is lending his fervent creativity to a new arena: homewares.
The Rug Company, a high-end carpet brand, just announced a collaboration with Kane that draws significant influence from Kane’s previous collections. For example, the botanical flower drawing that graces rugs and the lone throw pillow in the collection was once stamped onto sweatshirts and silk separates in his Spring 2014 collection.
In addition to the floral motif, there’s an extremely #cloglife graphic grid design rug, and a more subtle floral filigree rug. This delightfully quirky collection is perfect for the nesting fashion enthusiast or super-stylish homebody.
Click through to view the entire collection, which is now available at Avenue Road, 415 Eastern St. in Toronto and 301 Pender St. in Vancouver.
