It’s been less than a week since Sunday’s stellar Golden Globes, but the gussied up celebrities at last night’s Critics’ Choice Awards 2015 proved that there are still plenty of outstanding red carpet looks in store for us.
After just a few hours of announcing this year’s Oscar nominees, award contenders and red carpet mainstays showed up dressed to the nines. And while many people believed that Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie were snubbed from this year’s Oscar nominations, the actresses definitely won us over in the wardrobe department. Leaving their usual LBDs at home, the two worked sultry outfits, with Jolie in a Grecian-inspired silver Versace gown, and Aniston in a two-button tuxedo (sans shirt and bra) by Gucci.
White seems to be the developing 2015 red carpet trend, with many stars once again opting for the crisp shade. Gone Girl’s Rosamund Pike wore white again, in a whimsical Valentino Haute Couture dress. Meanwhile, Marion Cotillard’s ensemble may be giving us a case of déjà-vu (see Jennifer Lawrence), but the two-time Oscar nominee added edge to her Dior ball gown with her hair slicked back. Jessica Chastain was also a vision in white, working a new silhouette in a Cheongsam-inspired gown by Antonio Berardi.
