Cuts for a cause

By Natalia Ksiazek

Every girl knows that maintaining one’s lovely locks can be pricy. That sleek bob and perfect blowout definitely don’t come cheap. Thankfully, Redken (www.redken.ca) has come to the rescue, and all for a great cause. On Monday August 11, thirty of Canada’s top celebrity stylists will offer their professional services at Yonge-Dundas Square for the launch of Redken’s second annual Cut-A-Thon.

The event benefits OneXOne (www.onexone.org), a non-profit foundation committed to supporting, preserving and improving the lives of children at home in Canada, the United States, and worldwide. Proceeds from Monday’s haircuts, as well as in-salon services, individual salon fundraisers and products sold at participating Redken salons till Sunday, August 15 will be donated to OneXOne. So stop by this Monday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to get a cut ($35), style (from $10), or both! Not only will you walk out looking fabulous for less, but you’ll be helping cut out child poverty and suffering, one snip at a time.
