Did Kathy Griffin Take Things Too Far With Trump?
Kathy Griffin is currently in hot water after her little stunt with American photographer Tyler Shields earlier this week. ICYMI, the Emmy award-winning comedian posed for the camera while holding a fake decapitated head that resembled President Donald Trump. Yikes.

While the duo thought it was a powerful and “artistic statement” at the time, the reaction wasn’t exactly what they were expecting. Seeing the horrified responses all over the Internet, the grotesque photo was taken down right away, and Griffin has followed up with an apology video.
“I moved the line, and then I crossed it,” says the 56-year-old comedian. “I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people.”
The shot has unfortunately spread like wildfire, and it looks like the Internet is not buying Griffin’s apology, including Squatty Potty. According to TMZ, the American toilet stool company has suspended all ads featuring Griffin. “We were shocked and disappointed to learn about the image Ms. Griffin shared today. It was deeply inappropriate and runs contrary to the core values our company stands for.”
Here’s what the Internet has to say about it.
And I'm counting down having to explain it to my 8 and 10 year olds who I'm sure will see/hear about it at school. https://t.co/efDaLxbXZs

For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.

I'm all for artistic and comedic expression, but I just saw the violent Trump imagery in #KathyGriffin's photo and I find it horrible.

I'm not chill with any celebrity mock beheading any U.S. president.
They have the right, but doing it is not very cool.

While everyone put in their two cents on the grotesque photo shoot, President Trump stepped in to tweet about how traumatic this experience has been for the children in his family, especially his 11-year-old son, Barron, who actually thought something terrible happened to his dad.
Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!

Melania Trump also issued a statement, making her feelings very clear:

It looks like things are getting pretty serious, given that the Secret Service is investigating the photo, which is protocol for all hate crimes against the President of the United States of America.
