Dirty dealing
By Jennifer Campbell
Montreal recessionistas, take note: On October 10 only, the Diesel store (2114 Mountain St., 514-845-4335, diesel.com) is offering the deal of the third-of-a-century.
To celebrate 30 years in the denim trade, the Italian label is offering a limited edition of their popular Matic style (or Heeven, for the guys) for $50. The company produced 30,000 pairs of the “Dirty Thirty” jeans to go to 160 stores worldwide. Sadly for those of us outside La Belle Ville, the only Canadian availability is the Mountain Street location. (The website doesn’t deliver to Canada. Boo.) In keeping with the theme, the style has a “dirty wash,” Diesel has marked their birth year on the buttons and it’s European price is €30. The back patch features three Xs, or thirty in Roman numerals. I’m sure there’s no double entendre there. Never.
Shown: Limited edition “Dirty Thirty” Matic jeans.
