Dry Flower Nails Are the Prettiest Manicure Trend for Spring

We may be only a few days away from spring, but it certainly still feels like winter here in Toronto. But even though we can’t break out warm weather wardrobe staples just yet, we can add some spring to our step — or rather, our fingers, with dry flower nails.

The nail art, created by Eun Kyung Park, founder of Unistella salon in Seoul and the genius behind some of our fave manis including bracelet nails and shattered glass nails, takes dried petals and blooms from real flowers, pressing them onto the nail bed for a delicate, pretty look. Sometimes, the flowers extend down the fingers, for a more dramatic, while other times, they’re simply incorporated into classic manis (like a French manicure) or one of Park’s signature works of nail art.

And while some of these looks aren’t exactly practical (i.e. leaves and vines crawling down your fingers), you can’t deny that they’re pretty damn cool. Also, we’d much prefer to have literal green thumbs via pressed flowers as opposed to succulents.
