Emmys 2016: The 10 Best Beauty Looks on the Red Carpet
Ok so it lacks the pedigree of the Oscars, but now that there’s so much good TV on these days, the red carpet at the Emmys has become worth watching for our favourite small screen actresses. Tonight that included Millie Bobbie Brown, who broke out with her buzz cut as Eleven on Stranger Things. Now that her shorn head has grown out, she’s been wearing her hair slickly side-parted and no sign of makeup, which is exactly what a 12 year old with perfect skin should be doing. Sarah Paulson was sporting a similar style, and both were a nice break from the usual long hair that dominates.
Kerry Washington‘s hair was also on a break from its controlled curls. The Scandal star let her hair go wild, wearing it in its natural state and paired with her bump, was exuding a very Mother Earth feeling. Sophie Turner‘s mane also had a carefree vibe, falling out in the front and down her back, loosely woven into a thick single braid. Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Dockery went with more classic Hollywood waves but Dockery wins for adding a gorgeous berry lip, courtesy of makeup artist Rachel Goodwin. There were other notable lips we loved: Priyanka Chopra wore a matte red mouth which was Chanel and Amanda Peet, amazing in the recently cancelled Togetherness, also wore an equally stunning lip.
When it came to eyes, Emilia Clarke‘s were shadowed with a matter grey violet by Kate Lee while Emily Ratajkowski went for full out smoky eyes in cobalt blue to match her dress.
