Fashion for a cause: Get your tickets to the third annual Dare to Wear fashion show

Fashion for a cause—be it Livia Firth’s Green Carpet Challenge or the Marc Jacobs Protect the Skin You’re In Tees—always gets us going. Toronto is also doing its philanthropic bit with the third annual Dare to Wear Love fashion show on March 16, to close out (the official) Toronto Fashion Week.

The Stephen Lewis Foundation has commissioned some of our favourite designers, including Greta Constantine, Brian Bailey, and Paul Hardy, to create one-of-a-kind pieces from African fabrics (and modeled by celebrities, no less). All proceeds from ticket sales go straight to the foundation, which provides relief to impoverished women, orphans, grandmothers, and HIV/AIDS patients in Africa. Tickets are available online and go for $75 (or $300 for VIP tickets, which includes front row seats, gift bags, and invites to the exclusive pre- and post-show cocktail parties). And hey, if you can’t make it you can still donate at daretowearlove.com.
