Fashion Magazine August 2015 Cover: Gal Gadot
The fierceness of Gal Gadot knows no end. The 30-year-old Israeli actress/mother/wife/model—who graces the cover of FASHION Magazine’s August 2015 issue—has been able to live many lives that some might think she was born an Amazon. Which is probably why she was recently cast as Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. The former beauty queen (Miss Israel, 2004), former soldier (she served time in the military at age 20) and Gucci spokesperson (she’s the face of Gucci’s fragrance, Bamboo) set aside some time during her hectic schedule to be photographed in New York City for our latest issue.
In between primping and posing, Gadot opened up to features editor Elio Iannacci on her iconic role, the plethora of films that she’s starring in and her thoughts on attaining that whole work-life-balance thing. Here’s a sneak peak of the story, which drops on newsstands on July 13, 2015.
On being Wonder Woman:
“Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d grow up to be in a movie playing someone who influenced as many women as she has.”
On her time serving in the military:
“The army wasn’t that difficult for me. The military gave me good training for Hollywood.”
On striving for the best:
“Nowadays being a woman is hard, because we have to be the best wife, best mother, best worker, best everything!”
On her approach to acting:
“I always think about how I would behave if I were in their shoes.”
