Marc Jacobs is rumoured to have a reality show in the works for gay network Logo. The show would play like a gay version of The Real Housewives, centred around Jacobs’ life at home and in the office and starring other “high-powered (openly gay) playboys.” Please, please, please let this be true. Agent Provocateur has thought up a new way to stay cool: comic books. The brand recently released “New World Order: Mission To Earth” as its freshest advertising idea. The book features scantily-clad, yet extremely stylish, vixens sporting the brands newest lingerie designs with ads for their lines sprinkled throughout all the chaotic superheroine sexiness. Last week, a meeting in Washington brought together politicians, designers and lobbyists interested in creating a Fashion Caucus in Congress. Designer Nanette Lepore and Democratic Representative of California Diane Watson were in attendance to discuss fashion business and the need for a stronger presence of government in the industry. The protection of New York’s garment district has inspired the group to host a rally to save the fashion district at 39th and Seventh on October 21 in the hopes that Mayor Bloomberg will listen up and halt his mission to consolidate these coveted spaces into a 280,000-square-foot building.
