Matthew Williamson will launch a men’s capsule collection next month. The line, which features tees, cashmere sweaters and silk scarves in the UK designer’s signature prints and vivid colours, will expand to a seasonal collection. [Vogue UK]

Lady Gaga has been named creative director of a specialty line for Polaroid. You may be scratching your head as to why, but just think about the innovation: a camera that adjusts for those wearing an eye patch, or, as our Halifax blogger Nadine suggested, one “that only works when you happen to have forgotten to put on your pants.” [Racked]

Oh, but Jason Wu is also going to be designing cameras, so maybe this is going to turn into a thing. The designer will launch a line of digital point-and-shoots at New York Fashion Week next month. [Styleist]

Holt Renfrew has named a new president and CEO. Mark Derbyshire replaces Caryn Lerner, whose five-year tenure saw a rebranding and new stores in Vancouver and Calgary.  [WWD]

Unlike most of the world, Mark Fast isn’t falling all over himself to work with Lady Gaga. The designer declined to lend out one of his dresses to the singer, telling Metro “My work is about a lifestyle. It’s not fast-food fashion. It’s not about trends, it’s about classic, it’s about the body, it’s about beauty. Maybe that gets lost in the picture with certain celebrities.” [Metro, via The Cut]

Tory Burch is looking to expand her jewellery offerings by bringing on Subversive designer Justin Giunta as jewelry design director. The Swarovski Award-winning designer is know for his handcrafted, collage approach. Giunta’s first line for Burch is slated for a holiday release. [WWD]

The much-rumored Louise Goldin/Topshop collab has been confirmed. Goldin’s line of shoes drops in February. [Vogue UK]
