Get the Look: Rihanna Does Motocross
Last September, Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma Spring 2018 show pretty much brought the X Games to the runway. Models strutted around mounds of sparkling hot pink sand as motorbikes whizzed past and did 360-degree tricks overhead. Rihanna even completed her finale bow atop a cherry red bike.
It was the definition of cool, and earlier this year campaign photos from the collection were released, featuring Rihanna and her models in the same colourful sportswear and with the same motorbikes soaring in the sky behind them. Soon after, online retailers were creating their own style edits, pulling sporty pieces together from their sites to celebrate the new sought-after trend: Motocross.
Although Rihanna escalated the demand for this daredevil style, the motocross trend could be seen across many Spring 2018 runways. Designers like Gucci and Isabel Marant also incorporated the luxe sport vibe.
From black and white checkered pants, to sweaters and trousers emblazoned with racing stripes, this hot new trend is straight off the track.
