MUJI launched online shopping in Ontario and BC
Japanese lifestyle brand MUJI has just launched its first online shopping platform in Canada. Customers in Ontario and British Columbia will now be able to purchase items online, with the option of shipping or in-store pickup. At launch, MUJI Canada’s online store will feature 250 of the brand’s most popular homeware products, such as gel pens, reusable face masks, 2021 planners and more. The brand intends to expand its shipping area to the rest of Canada in the near future. Stay tuned.
Lashana Lynch confirmed that she’s the next 007
Way back in July 2019, British actress Lashana Lynch was reported to be the next 007, following in Daniel Craig’s footsteps as the infamous secret agent. Now, in a new interview, Lynch has confirmed that she will indeed be the first Black woman to take on the iconic role and has been preparing herself emotionally for the inevitable backlash. “I am one Black woman—if it were another Black woman cast in the role, it would have been the same conversation, she would have got the same attacks, the same abuse,” she said. “I just have to remind myself that the conversation is happening and that I’m a part of something that will be very, very revolutionary.”
And ICYMI, Instagram just updated its nudity policy thanks to the activism of a plus-size model of colour.
