Here’s How Celebs are Reacting to the White Supremacy Violence in Charlottesville
This weekend, radical violence erupted in Charlottesville, Virginia when white nationalists congregated to march across the University of Virginia campus. The “Unite the Right” rally—organized in response to the city’s plan to remove a Confederate general statue—saw hundreds of alt-right supporters carry tiki torches and chant “white lives matter” and “you will not replace us.”
Anti-racism and anti-fascism activists arrived in the city to counter the alt-right protests, resulting in ongoing violence that has left at least three dead and many more injured.
Celebrities have turned to social media to offer support for Charlottesville, condemning the hate and sharing condolences for those murdered.
