Hermès Artisans Visit Vancouver For a Special Exhibition
After touching down in 34 cities in 18 countries, “Hermès at Work,” has set up shop in Vancouver at beautiful Jack Poole Plaza, which gained worldwide attention for being home to the Olympic flame during the 2010 Winter Games.
This travelling event brings Hermès craftspeople from the peace and quiet of their ateliers in France, out into the public, where they get to demonstrate their highly skilled craft. It’s a wonderful bird’s eye view on the talent at play behind the scenes of one of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands.
Known formerly as the “Festival des Métiers,” the exhibition has been touring since its inauguration in 2011, and has attracted over 400,000 visitors worldwide. Special for Vancouver’s “Hermès at Work” is its location in a custom enclosure designed to provide a stunning view on the Coal Harbour .
“Hermès at Work” is open from 11am-7pm daily until September 25 at Jack Poole Plaza, 1055 Canada Place. Admission is free.
