New Year’s Eve is quickly approaching, the one time of year when everyone can feel like a celebrity. The lights, the cameras and never-ending parties to choose from are perfect ingredients for one heck of a night (or just a regular Saturday, depending on who you are. Kim, are you reading this? Call us!).
However, you don’t have to be a celebrity to look like one. With that in mind, we’ve created a gif tutorial to show you how to achieve Kim Kardashian‘s signature look for New Year’s Eve: a metallic smoky eye and glossy nude lip.

Step 1:
The best way to achieve this New Year’s Eve look is to start off with the perfect face. Put your best face forward by applying your foundation with a round tip brush making sure to blend evenly.

Step 2:
Next, grab your concealer and apply underneath your eyes to create an even complexion and remove any dark spots. You’ll want a flawless face to emphasize your amazing eyes. Feel free to use concealer on any problem spots, if necessary.

Step 3:
Afterwards use an eyebrow pencil to colour in your brows one shade darker than your natural colour in order to create fuller brows and help them stand out.
If you have thin brows, don’t worry: simply brush your brows away from the centre of your face and colour them in with soft strokes around your natural shape.

Step 4:
Nothing can make or break a look more than your lips and for the perfect pout we’re going simple by using a nude lipstick (complete with a glossy shine) to make those smackers the envy of everyone around you. Give your lips a light scrub beforehand and apply your lipstick with a thin-tipped lip brush to ensure even coverage.
(For fairer skin look for nude lipsticks in pale pinks. Medium tones should opt for beige to light rose and for darker skin look for copper undertones. However, if ever in doubt, simply look for the colour that best matches your skin.)

Step 5:
To create the perfect eyes add a light silver eye shadow to the lower portion of your eye and then a darker hue over top and blend, blend, blend. Not satisfied with the look? Keep blending on the outer corners and lid until it looks right.

Step 6:
Now, on to the falsies. A bold New Year’s Eve look isn’t complete without dramatic eyes and for that you’ll need big, beautiful lashes. Make sure to customize your falsies to suit you eyes and trim them if necessary to avoid any disasters.

Step 7:
Last but not least is to top of your look with some volumizing mascara in black. You can also add a line of black liquid liner to emphasize your eyes even more.
