How to Get a Front Row Seat at Fashion Week
With only 2 days to go, we can practically hear the whirr of the sewing machines, the tip tap of stilettos and the furious flashes of cameras. The countdown to New York fashion week is on.
Opportunities to attend coveted shows like Diane Von Furstenberg, Alexander Wang and Calvin Klein are pretty much a no-go (unless you have an insider connection). But fear not my fellow fashionistas – where there’s a will, there’s a fashionable way.
Last season, Public School went, well, public and held their runway show at Milk Studios for invited guests, and live streamed the action on 14th Street for the fans; Givenchy ran an online lottery and doled out 820 tickets to real people; and Rebecca Minkoff filled her front row with the brand’s best customers.
If all else fails and scoring a golden tickets still seems impossible, major designers like Michael Kors, Vera Wang and Tommy Hilfiger broadcast their shows through live streams which means you’re granted an all access pass from the comfort of your couch.
We’ll be keeping the list below updated so keep checking back for dates, times and links for designers letting us in on the ultimate front row fashion experience.
