Hudson’s Bay Company Announces Partnership With Meghan Markle BFF Jessica Mulroney
Hudson’s Bay Company has announced that Jessica Mulroney, the woman whom the Daily Mail suggested “might outsparkle Ms. Markle” at the upcoming Royal Wedding, will have an “expanded role” with the company.
Mulroney is married to former Canadian Idol host and Brian Mulroney’s son, Ben Mulroney, and has worked as a stylist, consultant, influencer, TV personality, and wedding planner. She had previously partnered with HBC to help launch the Kleinfeld bridal line into Canada in 2014. Mulroney’s new official title within the company is Fashion and Bridal Specialist. “Hudson’s Bay is Canada’s fashion authority and I am so excited to expand my relationship with the company,” said Mulroney in a statement.
“As we continue to drive our fashion position in Canada, Jessica is a valued and important partner of Hudson’s Bay” said Alison Coville, President of Hudson’s Bay. “Working with Jessica in this new capacity gives us the opportunity to share her expert knowledge and style with our customers and ultimately provide a unique shopping experience with a compelling point of view.”
In addition to PR, social media, and events, Mulroney will act as the spokesperson for CORE Life, a new lifestyle brand launching exclusively at Hudson’s Bay for Fall 2018.
It seems the Meghan Markle Effect has expanded beyond her wardrobe to include her inner social circle, making her close friends just as hot commodities as the labels she wears. This is Shine Theory at it’s best, folks.
