IKEA Collaborates with Indigenous Artists on Pinterest-Worthy Collection
IKEA never fails to make our homes look perfect enough to be in a catalogue. And with its latest collection, we know it’s going to take our decor from basic to Insta-worthy in a matter of seconds.
For the first time, the Swedish furniture company is teaming up with social entrepreneurs on a collection in Canada. Återställa is a collab with Setsuné Indigenous Fashion Incubator—a group of female Indigenous artists, designers, arts managers and community members, who work in fashion, textiles and crafts. The Swedish word for restore, heal or redecorate, the name of the collection could not be more fitting. The lineup is very eco-friendly, too, as the items are all made out of salvaged textiles from IKEA. Consisting of four kitchen items (an apron, a small pouch, a tea towel and a basket), the collection won’t make a dent in your wallet either, with prices ranging from $3 to $12. Oh, and did we mention each item is completely unique? That’s a score, if you ask us.
Available exclusively at IKEA Etobicoke, you can start shopping the collection today—but hurry. The IKEA Återställa collection is only available while supplies last. And judging from the below lookbook, it’s going to be flying off shelves. Trust.
