Inside Justin Bieber’s Purpose tour merch pop-up shop at Nomad in Toronto

We’ve gotten used to plenty of cultural mashups as of late. Today, that includes skater boys wearing Metallica T-shirts while extolling the virtues of Justin Bieber. Once the patron saint of puberty worldwide, Stratford’s very own has become a star for real. A style star too, with the merch for his latest tour (created by Fear of God designer Jerry Lorenzo) becoming so popular that it warranted pop-up shops in New York, and this week, in Toronto. The merch itself is a mashup too, combining the best bits of Vetements, Thrasher, Off White and ’90s metal Ts for as low as $45 a pop.

When I rolled up to the shop this morning, the line of Yeezy-wearing fans circled the block. By the time I left (with a muscle T in tow), it had doubled. Here, we capture the day in all its Belieber glory.

The Purpose pop-up runs through tomorrow, May 19, at Nomad (819 Queen Street W.) in Toronto. For more information, visit nomadshop.net.
