For the first time in Toronto, men can shop at J.Crew. After the exclusion of the men’s line (much to shoppers dismay) at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, the newest J.Crew outpost in the Toronto Eaton Centre features all that the company has to offer.
The iconic American brand has settled in to a 9,000 square foot space in the on the third floor (formerly Bebe), and has filled the space with blonde hardwood and knick-knacks. Mannequins dressed in multi-layered outfits (think preppy collars poking out from underneath brightly-hued cashmere sweaters, crossbody bags and jeweled necklaces slung with ease) showcase what J.Crew does best.
The Eaton Centre outpost shows off the company’s love of bright colours by displaying belts, sweaters, socks and iPad cases in every hue of the rainbow from within light hardwood displays. Male shoppers can get their “I’d rather be yachting looks” from long picnic tables stacked with cashmere sweaters and classic oxford shirts. They can even pick up a famous Ludlow suit (its popularity in New York warranted it becoming a standalone store), which is made from Italian and English fabrics and features bespoke inspired details.
Ladies can ponder their shoe and purse selection while sitting in the designated salon, because, you know, they have one. And if you’re feeling like your closet needs the help of a professional, they will be offering a personal stylist service. Appointments are offered throughout the day (also available before and after store hours).
Oh and what’s this? On October 31, another J.Crew will be opened at Fairview Mall.
