Introducing Knifeliner, the Halloween Makeup Trend That’s Taking Over Instagram

“Liner so sharp it could cut a bitch.” Surely you’ve heard the phrase before, made popular by today’s Instagram and YouTube-famous makeup artists. The saying is usually applied to a super-precise, super-sharp winged liner flick. But for Halloween, because ’tis the season, beauty gurus are taking the phrase to extremes and extending their liner into a knife shape and filling it in with silver. To top it all off? Some drops of blood drawn on, of course.

We give this trend an A for concept, and an A+ for execution. Browse the looks below for our favourite examples of the knifeliner trend.
