Kate Middleton and Prince William Chose This Familiar Photo for Their 2016 Christmas Card
You might just be sorting through adorable Christmas cards from your friends and family—winter photoshoots and all—deciding which ones to save and which ones to toss. Well, if you got this one from Prince William and Kate Middleton, featuring adorable Charlotte and George, you would frame it, nevermind putting it at the top of the “keep” pile.
Despite rumours that no photo would be shared this Christmas because of the very public year the family had, Us Weekly reveals they did, indeed, choose a photo to share with family—and now the world.
The selected shot does us Canadians proud. The photo was chosen from the weeklong Royal Tour of Canada back in September. Taken by Getty photographer Chris Jackson, this moment was captured when the Royal family visited the Government House in Victoria, BC, where the kids also got to enjoy a petting zoo, bubble-making and a puppet show.
We clearly didn’t think that last year’s picture-perfect portrait could be outdone, but this year’s take is candid and captures the family in the midst of a beautiful moment, making it even better than the last. Regardless of the tardy reveal, it’s better late than never.
