Don’t worry, Canada. We’re not the only ones suffering through colder temperatures when it’s supposed to be spring: Today the Duchess of Cambridge headed north to the Great Tower Scout Camp in Cumbria to spend a snow globe-worthy day training with other Scout volunteers. Kate Middleton has been involved with the Scout Association for some time now, but today was all about learning new skills—such as bread making and how to cook over an open fire. (Though when it came time to learn tree climbing skills the pregnant Duchess avoided the hands-on part of that lesson.)
Despite the not-so-ideal weather conditions, Kate was fully prepared to spend the day outside. She was wearing a forest-green jacket by Barbour and neoprene-lined Wellington boots by La Chameau. Unfortunately we do have to question her hat choice: It may look warm but… sorry Kate, the late ’90s called, they want their bubble hat back. The accessory we do adore, however, is the Scouting scarf tied around her neck. All of the volunteers had the scarves on, but in different colours. HRH Duchess Kate tracked down Kate’s exact scarf, and it is traditionally worn by Scouts travelling abroad—and it’s the only item the Duchess is wearing today that hasn’t already sold out. (Except for the hat, of course!)
