Kate Moss gets huffy, your ticket to McQueen and Narciso hearts eBay
Kate Moss caused a commotion last night at GQ’s Man of the Year Awards. The model’s attempt to escape out the back entrance backfired when she ran through an interview backstage with rapper Dizzee Rascal. Apparently host James Nesbitt made a jab at Moss about her nude GQ cover, causing her to leave all huffy. [Telegraph]
Those antsy with anticipation for the new collection from Alexander McQueen need not look further than AlexanderMcQueen.com. The designer’s Spring 2010 show will be viewable as-it-happens on October 6 via his official website. [Fashionologie]
Narciso Rodriguez is jumping on the bandwagon of making a lower-priced line available to the public. The mysterious Belgian designer, Dries Van Noten, infamous for dodging the media, will be honoured with the 2009 Award for Artistry of Fashion by the Couture Council of the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Perhaps owing in part some of his popularity to his serious ability to duck out of the limelight, Van Noten said, “I don’t need people to buy clothes for who I am; I prefer them to buy things that I create.” Van Noten goes on to say that he loves “to make beautiful things and translate art into garments by experimenting with textures and colors.” Also, that he wouldn’t be averse to clothing Britney Spears.
