The Kardashian clan is having a major fashion moment right now, which can partly be attributed to its second youngest offspring: Kendall Jenner. Previously known for her appearances on the family’s various reality television shows, the 18-year-old has transcended the trash zone, catching the eye of fashion’s top tier as the latest model du jour.
Jenner began her modeling career back in 2010, appearing in a campaign for Forever21 alongside sister Kylie. Really revving in the last few months, Jenner has walked for fashion week’s heavy hitters, covered magazines and walked the red carpet like a boss. She made her runway debut at Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2014 show, virtually unrecognizable in a blunt bob, bleached brows and tone on tone tan. Next, it was Giles, where she walked alongside mega-models Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn. Making the most of her time in London, Jenner sat front row next to Anna Wintour during the Topshop Unique show. In Paris, she was model morphed again, walking Givenchy with futuristic slicked back hair and Chanel, in an oversized duffle coat.
Her star shined even brighter on the red carpets of late, first at the Met Gala, in a champagne strapless Topshop dress, and then last week at Cannes, in Chanel and Chopard.
It seems there will be many red carpets in Kendall Jenner’s future, and soon, too! MuchMusic just announced her as this year’s MMVA host alongside sister Kylie and if those Vogue rumours have any truth to them, she’ll be promoting those as well. Cheers to good genes and friends in high places.
