Kim Kardashian Rocks the Hottest New Bag Trend for Spring
When it comes to handbags, Kim Kardashian has quite a collection! From her oversized metallic Louis Vuitton tote (she and ex-BFF Paris Hilton had a twinning moment in 2006) to her bizarre one-of-a-kind hand-painted Hermès Birkin (a Christmas gift from hubby Kanye who commissioned contemporary artist George Condo for the project), the 36-year-old reality star/entrepreneur has always had big love for designer bags.
Yesterday, Kardashian was snapped in an athleisure outfit while out with her mom Kris Jenner and sister Kourtney Kardashian in Calabasas, California. Featuring a rapper-approved puffer (falling off her shoulders like a pro), a lace corset (which almost caused a nip slip) and slouchy high-waisted Yeezy sweatpants tucked into sock booties, Kardashian’s look walked the line between sartorial and street. Her orange retro-inspired sunglasses might have been eye-catching, but her hand candy (a mini Hermès Kelly) was on a whole other level—one where if you have to ask the price…(you get the picture). But dolla dolla bills aside, her mini bag is trending in a big way this spring.
When it comes to the latest bags, size definitely matters. The spring 2017 runways were filled with these tiny treasures, like the pretty-in-pink lady version at Fendi—complete with a furry bag charm.
At Chloé, the petite bags featured plenty of gold hardware, including circle handles that resembled key rings.
Given that no one hardly anyone carries cash anymore, these little wonders are perfect for the bare essentials: iPhone, your fave lipstick and whatever plastic (debit, credit) you’re packing.
Kim Kardashian West’s daughter, North, has even been spotted sporting a mini bag. The three-year-old budding street style star carried a mini Louis Vuitton version in New York in 2016. We’re not sure if she borrowed it from her famous mama or if it’s her own (The Kardashians, they’re NOT just like us!) but either way, she slayed on the streets of Manhattan.
