Kylie Jenner and More Celebrities Are Loving This Electric 80s Look
Celebrities are getting lit—and we can’t get enough of this cool throwback trend!
Eighties-inspired highlighter hues, in particular fluorescent green, are making their mark all over Hollywood. Gwen Stefani recently wore a Jeremy Scott mini dress with a green “slime” print at the Kids’ Choice Awards. Luckily, she didn’t actually get slimed—that honour went to Demi Lovato this year.
Kylie Jenner is a fan of fluorescent green, too. The reality star/cosmetics entrepreneur posted several shots on Instagram looking oh-so-80s in a fluoro zip-up jacket and short shorts. “Kylight ️,” she captioned it, referring to the highlighter products called “Kylighters” in her cosmetics line.
Rihanna rocked this vivid hue at her Fenty x Puma by Rihanna show during Paris fashion week. Wearing a statement robe coat in highlighter green, a high ponytail and oversized hoops for her runway bow, the pop star/designer werked this colour like a pro.
Jennifer Lopez opted for a sportier spin on this electric 80s look in a bright lime green bra top and leggings for her private sweat session (as in the gym, people) in Miami with rumoured new boyfriend Alex Rodriguez.
This isn’t the first time that J.Lo has worn this high-watt colour. She posted a photo on Instagram in February wearing a similar (if not the exact?) same look. “Gotta get it in… #workinonmyfitness #gymtime #cardio #thereIamwithnomakeupagain! Lol,” she captioned it.
Highlighter hues are spilling over into the beauty world, too. Khloé Kardashian recently shared a photo of her killer cool fluoro nails, paired with shredded denim, a Rolex, blingey rings and one very hot car. “️,” she captioned it. When one emoji says it all.
