Lady Gaga Dazzles in Custom Versace at the 2017 Super Bowl

It was almost hard to get a good look at Lady Gaga’s outfits during last night’s Super Bowl Halftime show. When she wasn’t leaping from rooftops or ascending rising platforms, she was in non-stop motion up on the stage. Singing, dancing and performing her little heart out.

Her sequined, strong-shouldered, high-necked bodysuit and glittering boots were custom made in a collaboration with Gaga’s longtime stylist Brandon Maxwell and the house of Versace. In an interview with Vogue, Maxwell said, “Versace has been such an important part of her fashion history, so it was such a natural choice to work with them on the costumes.” Donatella was even on hand backstage to wish Gaga good luck before she hit the stage (or rather, the roof).

And because one is never enough, Lady Gaga made two other wardrobe changes. The first was a golden, spike-embellished jacket that was thrown over her bodysuit. The second was a cropped, white football-inspired top paired with rhinestone-covered hot pants. “[The team at Versace] know not only how to design functional costumes that work well for performance, but also that would deliver visually on the spectacle and excitement that a stage like the Super Bowl halftime show deserves”, said Maxwell.

Touchdown.
