Lady Gaga Flawlessly Shuts Down Body-Shaming Comments
ICYMI: Lady Gaga‘s body was the topic of discussion yesterday.
One would think after flying off the roof, flipping upside down, dancing and singing for 13 minutes on the most-watched televised performance, people would have nothing but praise for Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl performance. Honestly, we were even tired after watching her from the comfort of our couches. But, of course, trolls will be trolls, and the singer’s “so-called” belly spurred a barrage of ridiculous comments.

I would be remiss not to give honorary mention to #Gaga's perfect belly roll. For the girls who understand warm bread and olive oil. #SB51

Of course, Mother Monster’s fans were not having it and fired back with tweets.
Lady Gaga has a perfect body and this is why girls in America hate their bodies. Promote self love not self hate. https://t.co/jL2FCKMfVi

I have more fat in my right eyelid than Lady Gaga does in her whole body

@erin_m24 In what world does Gaga not have a "perfect" body? Most people couldn't perform like she does. She looked great!

Lady Gaga could’ve just let the trolls have their fun, but she has a zero-tolerance policy for body shamers. The singer stepped up, as per usual, and flawlessly shut them down with one Instagram post, inspirational caption in tow.
“I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I’m proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too,” said Lady Gaga on her Instagram account. “No matter who you are or what you do.”
“I could give you a million reasons why you don’t need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed,” she adds. “Be you, and be relentlessly you. That’s the stuff of champions.”
And we second that.
